Dr. Muneeb Ali is the co-founder of Blockstack, a decentralized computing network that enables a new generation of applications where developers and users can interact fairly and securely. He serves as the CEO of Blockstack PBC, a Public Benefit Corp that is developing the core protocols for Blockstack. Blockstack PBC has raised $50+ million USD in capital from investors like Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, Lux Capital, Naval Ravikant, Kevin Rose, and has been featured on CNBC's list of 100 promising startups to watch.
Muneeb received his PhD and Masters in Computer Science from Princeton University, both specializing in distributed systems. His PhD thesis was nominated for the ACM SIGCOMM dissertation award by Princeton University. At Princeton, he worked in the Systems & Networks group and at PlanetLab--world's first cloud computing testbed.
